Music - The Joy of the Redeemed

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

(listen to the audio)
written while listening to a Christmas Day sermon by Ron Lutjens on Isaiah 35

Listen for a voice from heaven,
Speaks through time and brings a song.
Sorrow, sadness flee in panic,
Joy and gladness are too strong.

Overcome by doubt and sadness,
Worry, fear, frustration, pain,
Remember Jesus came a baby,
Soon as King he’ll come again.

Come Lord Jesus, come we beg you,
To complete the work begun,
Fill our hearts with joy and gladness,
Sorrow, sadness, see them run.

Overcome by doubt and sadness
Worry, fear, frustration, pain,
Remember Jesus came a baby
Soon as King he’ll come again.

Strong the hands that once were feeble,
And the knees that once gave way,
Brave the hearts that once were fearful,
Your God comes, do not dismay.
Your God comes, that is the day.

Overcome by doubt and sadness
Worry, fear, frustration, pain
Remember Jesus came a baby
Soon as King he’ll come again.
Soon as King he’ll come again.

Lyrics by Richard Winter
Music composed, played and sung by Greg Roig.
