Craig Doctor, Transitional Pastor
With founding pastor Ron Lutjens’ retirement, Craig has been called and is delighted to serve, as Old Orchard’s transitional pastor. Craig holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Millsaps College and worked for years in corporate finance before starting a general contracting business—which he was operating when called to attend seminary. Craig and his wife Courtney both hold Master of Divinity degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary and both served on staff at the Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church following their graduation. Craig is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Covenant Seminary. Craig and Courtney have been blessed with four amazing children, two delightful daughters-in-law, and one absolutely wonderful grandson.
Ron Lutjens, Senior Pastor (Retired)
Ron grew up in the New York metro area, but has been in the Midwest since his college days. He met and married his wife, Katherine, at L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland in 1974 and together they are the proud and grateful parents of three grown children and eight delightful grandchildren. Ron was the planting pastor of Old Orchard Church in 1981 under the oversight of Grace and Peace Fellowship in St. Louis city working in coordination with Midwest Presbytery of the Reformed Presbyterian Church--Evangelical Synod. Ron holds a Masters degree in New Testament Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School near Chicago and a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary here in St. Louis. Ron retired from this pastorate recently--on September 9, 2018, and while he no longer has a formal connection with our congregation, he and Katherine will continue to live in the home they moved into when the church first began.
